Connecting striking or takedowns to the flinch response

Shot at this weeks class these videos show a way of drilling at speed how to connect the flinch response to beiomechanically efficient movements and structure breaking or striking.

The first two videos were shot after a slower bare knuckle drill where they did the same concept slowed. In these two drills boxing gloves are used so that the partner feeding the attacks has permission to actially try and hit his partner. This encourages speed and a more natural flinch response from the person defending.

In the last video we see a drill where the student attacking feeds a serries of strikes then covers up. The defender needs to slip / deflect the punches then deliver a salvo of their own strikes in response.
