A New Systema Drill is Born
During last nights Systema lesson on how Systema structure breaking is effected both positively and negatively by the principle of 'Support' I created a drill to help a student who was escaping too much and breaking contact with the opponent when they attacked or simply dragging them around to take them down to the ground.
The idea of the drill is simple. Create a space you cannot leave no matter what the attack is used and work from there. To see this drill taught and how one of my student's worked within those constraints please watch the Systema video lesson.
For more ideas on structuring Systema lessons and drills check out the Systema Drill Encyclopaedia.
